Dental Technology

Advanced Technology Increases Comfort and Efficiency

Advanced dental technologies that we use include:

DIAGNOdent – Since identifying and filling cavities is one of the most important things we do for patients, we use DIAGNOdent technology. This low-intensity laser detects decay more precisely AND sooner than less-accurate methods of the past. This allows us to use minimally invasive filling procedures and preserve more natural tooth. Also, using this totally comfortable detection method enables us to monitor areas of concern without repeated X-rays.

Digital X-rays – Digital X-rays offer unparalleled benefits over traditional radiographs: they’re convenient, safe for the environment, provide a great opportunity for patient education, can be transferred and copied accurately, and best of all, they’re safer for our patients. With up to 90% less radiation and far greater quality, digital X-rays simplify the way we care for your teeth, resulting in better evaluations and treatment decisions.

Zoom! In-Office Whitening – You may have heard about Zoom! on television or from a friend. It's the most popular in-office whitening system, and it's known for amazing results. In about an hour, Zoom! can remove stains caused by foods, beverages, medications, and aging and lighten teeth up to 10 shades. The patented blue-light technology and whitening gel offer long-lasting results and have been proven safe and effective. Schedule your appointment to learn if teeth whitening is right for you.

Invisalign® – You now have the option to straighten your teeth the discreet way with Invisalign®. This clear, comfortable, and removable alternative to metal braces uses a series of aligners to straighten your teeth—with results you’ll notice sooner than you think! The aligners are changed approximately every two weeks to move your teeth into a straighter position step by step, until you have a more beautiful smile. AND, unlike traditional braces, these aligners can be removed while you eat and brush your teeth.

Dental Implant RestorationsDr. Pate is giving smiles a second chance with dental implant restorations. The closest prosthetic to natural teeth, dental implants replace the tooth root as well as the tooth, so you can eat, smile, and speak with full confidence. Best of all, dental implants have the potential to last for a lifetime. Ask Dr. Pate if implants are right for you.

Intraoral Camera – Using this camera, we can give you a “tour” of your mouth on a TV screen (which is really cool). We also utilize the camera to guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. This is helpful in keeping our patients at the center of their treatment plans. We want you to feel informed at every step of the way, so you can make smart choices for your oral health and smile.

Chairside Monitors
– The ultimate in patient convenience, chairside monitors allow Dr. Pate to show you digital images, intraoral images, and photographs right from the dental chair. Simply sit back and relax while Dr. Pate shows you details of your treatment plan on your television screen. As an added bonus, you also have the option of watching your favorite program while treatment is taking place.

We love to make you smile!
